We believe that Leadership is not just a position or a title; it is taking action and setting an example. It is a process of influencing others to work towards the attainment of specific goals.
Your leaders should manage and lead their people to achieve these goals and act decisively, while ensuring the high performing culture within the organisation.
Successful companies strive to develop and retain this talent. They know that long-term success requires a pipeline of visionary leaders who can help build and secure a competitive edge in the short, medium, and long term.
The National Training Platform Future Leaders Programme explores the strengths and competencies of effective leaders.
Our style is exercise based, facilitative and learner-centred, considering the needs and preferences of the group on the day whilst at the same time meeting the specific objectives for every session.
There’s also an interactive PDF workbook that supports each session, acts as a handout, and contains exercises for the delegate to complete during and after each workshop.
Course List and Content

We all know people who are good listeners. No matter what kind of situation we are in, they always know just what to say, they are caring and considerate, and even if we do not find a solution to our problem, we usually leave feeling more hopeful and optimistic. Would you like to be more like this?
This workshop looks at defining exactly what emotional intelligence is, the characteristics, and the qualities shown by emotionally intelligent people.
Understanding other people's emotions is a key skill in the workplace. It can enable us to resolve conflicts, build more productive teams, and improve our relationships with colleagues, clients, and customers.

This workshop looks at defining stress, identifying the causes of stress, and how to manage it with action-based strategies.
We have all either received or given feedback at some point in our careers. But the consensus seems to be that we are not particularly good at it.
This workshop looks at what feedback means, why we struggle with giving feedback, and how we should prepare to give feedback by evaluating the situation, identifying solutions, and planning the feedback.
You have probably heard people talking about coaching and mentoring in the workplace. They are often confused with being the same thing, but there are quite a few differences between them.
This workshop focusses on coaching skills. It looks at the benefits of coaching, the skills you need as a manager to perform coaching activities, and some of the plans and processes that can be put in place to conduct these activities as a manager within your teams.
Whether we like it or not, having difficult conversations will always form part of your role as a manager.

There is never enough time in the day. However, since we all get the same 24 hours, why is it that some people achieve so much more with their time than others?
This workshop looks at defining time management and assessing your own time management skills. It explores common mistakes and how to prioritise tasks to make the best use of time

Do you want to write organised, well-argued formal reports to create more value for decision-makers than simply giving them access to vast quantities of raw data?
This workshop looks to define why we have business reports and the types of reports you may be asked to read or write. The emphasis is then placed on the steps you need to follow to prepare for writing a report and concludes by sharing some techniques for written communications.
